Just Follow these steps
- Get a reputable transport company such as TNT or DHL, or any such company
- They will act as your customs clearing agent
- Agent fees are from 10.00 for small packets to approx 25.00 for pallets
- If you do not have an EORI number (tax no.), you will also have to pay the VAT at the point of importation, which is fully reclaimable in your normal vat returns .
- If you have an EORI number, you can get VAT payment at point of entry deferred and you pay on account which is claimable in your normal VAT returns
- How do i obtain an EORI number?
- From your accountant or direct from inland revenue
- There is no import duty charged on the importation of agricultural machinery parts into the UK
